B091M-01 Vacuum Degassing Oven (VDO)
EN 14769, ASTM D6521, and AASHTO R28 compliant, the VDO removes air bubbles created during the in-service oxidative ageing of asphalt binder by the Pressure Ageing Vessel (PAV). Trapped air bubbles left in a PAV-aged binder sample can distort subsequent rheology and low-temperature test results, so degassing is a required step before samples move on to dynamic shear rheometer or bending beam rheometer testing. VDO features include: 3 operating modes: Fully Automatic, Semi-Automatic and Manual. Temperature is measured by Platinum RTD, with an over-temperature limit switch for safety. The unit automatically releases pressure at the end of the test, and its double vessel accepts 4 or 8 samples in a single run. A fast heating and vacuum system reaches the set point quickly, reducing turnaround between batches, and the USB port on the front panel supports software upgrades and data storage for traceable QC records. Power supply: 230V 1ph 50Hz. Dimensions: 430x450x470 mm approx. Weight: 30 kg approx.
