Rheotest DSR

TriomidTech showcased the Rheotest DSR, a fully automatic dynamic shear rheometer, at ARABLAB, the region's largest laboratory exhibition. The DSR is used to characterize the viscoelastic behavior of asphalt binders across the temperature range relevant to pavement performance, measuring complex shear modulus and phase angle to support Performance Grade (PG) binder classification under standards such as ASTM D7175 and AASHTO T315. Automating the loading, temperature control, and data acquisition steps reduces operator variability and speeds up routine QC testing compared to manual rheometer setups, which is particularly useful for laboratories running high sample volumes for road and infrastructure projects.

Visitors to the TriomidTech stand were able to see the Rheotest DSR running live demonstrations alongside other bitumen and asphalt testing equipment from our Matest and Pavetest ranges.
